Juanita Grissom

Juanita K. Grissom, 83, of Columbus, Ohio. She departed this life on Monday, October 2, 2023. Juanita was born October 23, 1939, to the Parents of Frank and Rosa Goolsby.

After Juanita graduated from East High School in 1957,she relocated to California and joined the Navy. The Navy allowed her to travel the world to places like Russia, England, and Hawaii. While in the Navy she met the man of her dreams Vern Grissom, and they became one on February 16, 1969.

Juanita was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over 32 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rosa Goolsby; husband Vern Grissom; sisters, Lula Goolsby-Daye, Evelyn Lyles, Margaret Jennings ;brothers, James Goolsby, Frank Goolsby, Ronald Goolsby.

She is survived by her dear sister DeLois Goolsby; special nephew Vinnie Lyles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and church family.
