Juanita Maxine Taylor Westly (Neat, Nita, TeeTee), age 79, went home peacefully, surrounded by love and family on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Scioto Community, Columbus, OH. A New Orleans, LA native and resident of Columbus, OH since being evacuated due to Hurricane Katrina to be near her sister and brother-in-law (Vivian and Willie Russell, Jr.). She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church of New Orleans, LA and joined Clair United Methodist Church after moving to Columbus, OH. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Etta Melvina Jamison Taylor; husband, Harold Westly; four brothers, Vernon, Earl, Alvin and Herman Taylor; three sisters, Beatrice Griglen, Charlie Gaspard and Etta Mae Taylor. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Inez Brisjford, of Pearl River, NY; brother, and sister-in-law, Ronald and Mary Taylor, of New Orleans, LA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Willie Russell, Jr. of Columbus, OH; Brenda and Dr. Dewitt Fortenberry of Washington, DC; and sister-in-law, Fannie Webb Taylor of Washington DC; devoted cousin, Mary Louise Jackson, of Inglewood, CA; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Juanita’s name to Clair United Methodist Church, 293 Barthman Ave.; Columbus, OH 43207; or to Kindred Gentiva Hospice Foundation; 3350 Riverwood Parkway; Suite 1400; Atlanta, GA 30339.
