Julia Ann Redman was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 9, 1939 to the union of Charles and Marie Barnes, the 7th of twelve (12) children. She was a 1956 graduate from West High School, and a lifelong member of Burnside Baptist Church where she served as secretary. JULIA was formerly employed by OSU Hospital, Nationwide Insurance and retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Liquor Control after 20-something years of service. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, JULIA, most often known as Nan, departed this life on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marie Barnes and siblings Ruby L. Jackson and Lamar A. Barnes. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Kenneth E. Redman; daughters, Cathy (Benjamin) Cox, Maria (Alvin) Novoa and Lynette (Kevin) Berry; grandchildren, Taja Cox and Georgetta Wright; siblings, Emma Jones, Elizabeth Zeigler, Rebecca Redman, James Barnes, Jane Amelia Anthony and Christine Hampton-Sharpe and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
