Julia Davis Robinson was born on November 21, 1927, in Freeman, West Virginia, to the late Carl Davis and Hattie Monroe Davis. Mrs. Robinson was a naturally born giver, who enjoyed taking care of her family and others in a loving and caring way. She was educated in the Bramwell, West Virginia school system and graduated from Bramwell High School. She captured the love of her life, the late Henderson Robinson and out of this beautiful union was born two sons, William and Valance. Several years later, because of their love for giving, they opened their hearts and home to their two daughters, Victoria and April. Due to her love for giving, Mrs. Robinson and her cousin, Mrs. Virginia Kirtley, operated a daycare for seventeen years. To this very day, the children they looked after remember the love, care and mothering they received at the daycare on Franklin Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. You could always see her singing along with the choir and patting her hands in rejoicing of the goodness of her Lord. Her favorite song was “He Touched Me.” Mrs. Robinson is preceded in death by her husband Henderson Robinson, son Valance Leroda Robinson, six brothers, Vildie, John, Edward, Elwood, Carl, and Earl, and one sister Mae Moore. On Thursday, August 23, 2018, Mrs. Robinson received her notice from the Lord that it was time to take her permanent rest. She was surrounded by her family and pastor. Mrs. Robinson leaves to cherish her memory son, William Marshall (Kathy) Robinson of Gahanna, Ohio; daughters, Victoria (Harold) Yarborough of Columbus, Ohio, and April L. Little of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Elliot Robinson, Andrey (Joshua) Robinson-Sampson, Anton (Jessica) Robinson, Valarie Robinson, Leroda Henderson (Yolanda) Robinson, Misti Matthews, and Marlin Yarborough; great grandchildren, Gia, Alexanderia, Christian, Cameron, Eric, Erin and Eleeshia; great-great grandchild Marcus; sisters, Dorothy Smith, Viola Bryson and Shirley Coleman; special cousin Virginia Kirtley; and numerous nephews and nieces.
