June Eurella Givens

June Eurella Givens was born June 23, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the proud mother of six children and a longtime member of the Refuge Baptist Church, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. In 2002, June relocated to Washington, D.C., but returned to her childhood home several years later. June departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her mother Edith Armstrong Daniels, father Lee Givens, sisters Rebecca Felder and Debra Clark, brothers Fredrick Ewans and McKenzie Daniels, grandmother Ludie Armstrong, and uncle Orlando Armstrong. She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Meca, Demitra, Kira, Ashley, and Miracle Givens; son William Givens; 16 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Kendricks, Ernestine Alston, Marsha Moss, Janet (Richard) Daniels, Barbara Dudley, and Marva (Charles) Walker; her significant other of 22 years, Timothy Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends. Celebration of Life 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Refuge Baptist Church, 400 N. 20th Street, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the start of service.
