June Frances (Digweed) Coy

June Frances Coy, 87, of Columbus, Ohio, died January 29, 2014 following a year¬long illness. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Grace Digweed; daughter Pam Coy; sister Marilyn Digweed; brother Cliff Digweed; son-in-law Vince Cameron. Survived by her husband of 61 years, Rev. Ken Coy; daughter Penny Cameron; son Tim Coy; sister Edna (Harry) Volman; sister-in-law Marcia Digweed; grandson Andy Cameron; several nieces and nephews, several grand-nieces and nephews; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. June was a member of Northwest Christian Church and was active in women's ministries, both within the congregation, as well as in the state of Ohio. She served on the Board of Refugee Ministry of the Ohio Council of Churches. In 2006, she received the Ohio Disciple of Merit recognition of the Christian Church in Ohio (Disciples of Christ). She was a graduate of Eureka College (Illinois), after which she spent a two-year ministry as Director of Christian Education, First Christian Church, Charleston, WV. A memorial service will be planned for the spring of 2014. Donations may be made to Northwest Christian Church (Columbus, OH), or the Emergency Fund of Church Women United of Columbus. We are all blessed by the love, kindness and gifts of this wonderful woman.
