June Pitts Lewis

June Pitts Lewis, age 90 of Powell, OH. went to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 6th at her home in Powell, OH. June Loretta Pitts Lewis was born on June 7, 1931 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Robert Wesley Pitts and Edna White Pitts. June was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings. She was a graduate of Loveless High School, where she excelled in basketball. She also attended the Alabama State University as an education major. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Richard Lewis, Jr. June loved to entertain and was known as the proverbial hostess with the mostess. She was also an ardent follower of the latest fashions, thereby making her a diehard fashionista. She was also a Kappa Alpha Psi Silhoutte. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of nearly 71 years, Richard, daughters, Sheila Wayne of Dublin, OH, Jessica Irving (Warren) of Worthington, OH. and son Richard III (Shelia) of Hilliard, OH.; grandchildren, Bianca Irving, Warren Irving III, Jason McCraney, RIchard Lewis IV and Preston Lewis, plus a host of nieces, nephews and friends. June loved to travel and she was blessed and fortunate enough to be able to travel extensively with her beloved husband, both domestically and internationally. But the times she enjoyed most was spending time with her husband, and her family. She truly enjoyed and lived a good life. .
