Kate Lou (Hardy) Craig

September 9, 1947 — May 13, 2014

Kate Lou Craig was born on September 9, 1947 in Smithers, West Virginia. When she was twelve years old, her family moved to Columbus, Ohio. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined Trinity Baptist Church. During her lifetime, she was employed in various capacities, including working as a nurses' aide, an environmental services technician, and as a crossing guard at Maryland Avenue School. However, her best achievement was her only child, Alver, who brought forth her six grandchildren, all of who gave her great joy. She tought her son and grandchildren to love the Lord and trust in Him always. On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the age of 66, Kate was called Home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was predeceased by her mother Emma Hardy, stepfather John Lowe, four brothers and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memory son, Alver (Nicole) Craig; six grandchildren; sisters, Janice Tanner, Faye Stigger, and Joyce Edmondson; brothers, Caleb (Mary) Hardy, Charles (Diane) Hardy, and Raymond (Randi) Hardy; sisters-in-law, Phillis Hardy, Evelyn Hardy, and Wonda Hardy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
