Kathryn Weather

December 12, 1933 — October 8, 2019

Kathryn Weather(85) was born on December 12, 1933, to Nora Lee Dozier in Columbus, Georgia. She moved to Dayton, Ohio as a young girl and spent most of her childhood years there. Then in 1959, she moved to Columbus, Ohio with her husband Lester Weather. She was a housewife and stay at home mother to her 8 children for many years up until her husband passed away. From that point, she decided to go back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a beautician. Her children were truly inspired, and she taught them that they could achieve anything with hard work and perseverance. When she retired she had customers who still wanted to come to her because they loved her work as well as her one of a kind personality and sense of humor. Outside of work and watching after her family she enjoyed working in her yard and caring for her plants. She was very passionate about politics, and always made it a priority to vote, study the laws and candidates, while also educating her children and grandchildren on the importance of the elections as well. She was an amazing cook and was especially known for her macaroni and sweet potato pies. She loved entertaining family, friends, and guests in her home for holidays and other events. Overall, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
