Kathy Anne Abercrombie

Kathy Anne Abercrombie, of Columbus, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on December 6, 1958, Kathy lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and community.

A proud graduate of East High School, Class of '76, Kathy carried the values of loyalty and commitment throughout her life. She had a passion for fishing and found great joy in spending quality time with her family. Kathy was also a long-time member of CLASS, where she forged many lasting friendships.

Kathy was a devoted mother and is survived by her five loving sons, Calvin L., Derrick R. (Patti), and RaShod L. (LaTasha), Derrick (Florida), Carlos (Rina); her daughter, Shanae, her beloved grandchildren, Calvin Jr., Imani, Raiya, RaShod Jr., and Olivia. Kathy is also survived by her eight sisters, a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a wide circle of friends who adored her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Syemone E. and Annie M. Parrish, and her beloved sister, Brenda Adams.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has extended support and love during this difficult time.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Visitation at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service in Columbus, OH, on Friday, March 14th, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate Kathy’s life will follow from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Eastlawn Cemetery in Columbus, OH.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service. Kathy’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
