Kenneth Eugene Boyd was born November 17, 1948, to George Henry Boyd and Eva Long Boyd in Columbus, Ohio. Kenny was a graduate of Linden-McKinley High School and a Vietnam Veteran who received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps in 1969. He later went on to work for the Columbus City Schools and retired from Crane Plastics. Kenny was the Cleveland Brown's #1 Fan and an avid fisherman, who loved telling jokes. Kenny is known to some and loved by all. On October 17, 2015, at the age of 66, Kenneth Eugene Boyd passed away while at the Heartland of Centerburg Care Center in Centerburg, Ohio. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife, Alice Faye Boyd; children, Jerome Glenn, Mitchell Glenn and Anissa Close; brother Douglas (Darlene) Boyd, five grandchildren, Stephanie Miller, Anita Allison, Tamika Glenn, Davry’on Close, and Daria Close; four great grandchildren, Kimayah, Mitchell, Aleijah, and Davry’on Jr.; favorite cousin Carole Pickens; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
