Kenneth Eugene 'Kenny' White

God gave us memories so that we can have roses in December. Kenny White, your favorite Army recruiter/photographer, lived a Kodak moment life for 64 years, as he sought to make memories everywhere he went. Kenny had a goal to meet 3 interesting people a day, and as those who crossed paths with him know, he was beyond an interesting individual. As a retired Army recruiter, international photographer, and travel enthusiast, he had opportunity to mentor and speak into the lives of many. He had a desire that God spoke into his heart and that was “teach where you are” and Kenny did just that. When asked about his goals for his children while they were quite young, Kenny once responded that his goals were to instill in his children a love of God, a love of learning and how to make money. These goals are evidenced in the strength of the young men who were left to cherish his memory, Air Force Major Kenneth White II and Malcolm White. These life lessons will surely be carried on in the life of his only granddaughter, Avery. Being a father and grandfather were Kenny’s favorite roles. As witnessed by the loving family left to cherish his memory, Joyce (Marcus) Jackson, and Brenda (Melvin) Hairston, and good friends Sylvia Holland, Vera Babbs, Charles Ward, Allen Pendergrass and JR Wilson, and the many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and mentees. Kenny lived, in his words “a life so good, he had to wear shades”. We will miss your energy, Kenny, your many lessons, your support, and most vividly, your smile. Today, we will dance in your honor.
