Korey Lamont Boston, age 39, of Columbus OH went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with kidney disease, Monday, October 21, 2024. Born in Columbus, OH on July 16, 1985, to Kenny and Kelly Boston. Korey graduated from Mifflin High School and received his associate degree from ITT Technical Institute.
Korey is preceded in death by his paternal father, Kenneth Boston, sister Patria Lipson, great grandmother Barbara Epps Grandmother Mary Walker Moore. Survived by his mother Kelly (Steven) Burton, father Eugene Walker Sr., grandmother Garla Green, Step-grandfather Warren Green, and grandfather James William Jr. Three brothers Kenneth (Tiffany) Boston, Eugene (KiKi) Walker II, and Steven Eric Burton. Two sisters, Dominique Hunt and Lakendris Shawshanah Yasharahla. Special support buddy’s Tejuan Baldwin, Terrance Andrews, Juandel Mitchel, Justin Powell, Dontavious, and Tyler Williams. Korey’s Rock, the person who kept him in line, Richard Saup with Fresenius Kidney Care his second family and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends. The best friend, his family was his furry son Tank. Now that was, what he called his little man.
Throughout his 21-year battle with kidney disease, he smiled, laughed with great joy, and never gave up on God. Korey loved comic books, drawing and actually started writing a book and created a Positive Youtube short videos for kids. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan. The Orange Crush is what they called his Navy Blue and Orange team. He would always hit you with his bright ideas for his next adventure. Korey could talk for hours. A wealth of knowledge. Never met a stranger and was always willing to help. Korey will be remembered for his smile, strength, and infectious laugh. Korey is a small but gentle giant.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am and service immediately following from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Love Zion Baptist Church located at 1459 Madison Avenue Columbus, Ohio, 43205. Repast will be held at Ms.Vikki's Restaurant and Banquet located at 2167 E Livingston Ave at 1:00 pm.
