Kwesi Ato Abayomi Sample transitioned from this earthly form to be with the King of Kings May 14, 2013. Kwesi was swept out into the ocean while swimming at Holden Beach, NC. While here on earth, he was known for having the kindest, most giving, most gentle and sincere energy. He loved EVERYONE, and never met a person he did not like. He did not leave a muddy trail. He was predeceased by his father, Michael McGee, great-grandparents, Giles and Martha Sample. Living to celebrate his life here parents, Larry and Raynette Cornish; special twin brother and sister, Akil and Amira Cornish; oldest sister, Amber; sisters,l Jordane and Shuana; brother, Montell; amazing Nana, Francisca Figueroa; grandmother, Linda Franklin; grandfathers, Wardell Jackson and Herman Sample; great-grandparents, Wilma Figueroa and Francisco (Carol) Figueroa; aunts, Veronica, Cicely (Damian), and very special uncle, Kalomo and uncle Maurice; cousins, Tiarah, Adanna, Damian II, Celeste, Dalila; niece, Alajah; nephews, Rehjon and Ray’lon; and a host of many other family and friends. The family of Kwesi Sample would like to thank everyone for their prayers, cards, calls, donations, and meals. Thank you to all of the divers, boaters, helicopter pilots, and Holden Beach residents that worked day and night searching and tending to his grandmother and Florence.
