La Verne Bolden

La Verne Bolden, beloved wife and mother, was called home July 19, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL., employed at Grant Hospital, Columbus, OH for many years and member of East Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Russell Allen and sister, Linda Scott. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband, Samuel Bolden; children, Dianne Bolden, Samuel Bolden, Jr. (Krista), and Deltrese Bolden; grandson, Alexander Michael Bolden (Marquita); great grandson, Kai Alexander Bolden; brother, John Allen; sister-in-law, Shirley Allen; special niece, Deborah Allen(Lee Lewis); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral Service 12 noon, Friday, July 23, 2010 at East Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2940 E. 11th Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the start of service. Reverend Dr. Joseph Freeman Jr., officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street.
