Lanair Rayshawn 'Shawn' Thornton

Lanair R. Thornton was born on February 9, 1973 in Akron, Ohio where he spent his childhood years. He was very active in track, baseball and football. He relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1995 to begin a new life. In 1999, he met Tamica Johnson. To that union, two children were born. In 2007, Shawn, as he was affectionately called, and Tamica were married. He was very involved with his children; attending and being very active in many football games with the Columbus Steelers. Shawn worked for 4 years as a production worked at the T. Marzetti Company. On January 19, 2011, Shawn passed away in his residence. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur L. Thornton. He leave to cherish his memories, his wife, Tamica Thornton; stepdaughters, Crystal Johnson and Ne’kia Jones; daughter, Shaunita Thornton; sons, Lanair Thornton and Jushaun Johnson; sister, Stephanie Thornton; niece, Denise Thornton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
