Larry E. Humphrey, age 71, of Columbus, Ohio passed away August 24, 2014 at Kobacker House after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Larry was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Ervin and Evelyn (Robinson) Humphrey. Preceded in death by his stepmother, Julia K. Humphrey; and sister, Shirley Wilkerson. Larry proudly and honorably served in the U S Army, retired from ATT after 36 years, and was associated with Diehl-Whittaker Funeral for some for 20 years. An avid fisherman, he was featured in the November 29, 2009 edition of The Columbus Dispatch, describing his 15 fishing trips to Brazil, his battle with cancer, and the support of his wife, Charlene, in his endeavors. He was a member of Rhema Christian Center. Larry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Charlene Humphrey; three daughters, Tamara (Earl) Harris, Tia Humphrey, and Kiana Humphrey; sons, Pastor Lance (Nichole) Humphrey and Mark Shank; brother, Charles Humphrey; nine grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends, including Clarence (Shelia) Williams.
