Latasha Gales Thompson, age 31, born December 9, 1979, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2011. Preceded in death by son Richard Ray Thompson, II on October 10, 2011, grandfather Robert Gales, Sr., grandmother Maxine Walls, and uncle Franklin Gales. Survived by husband Richard Ray Thompson; son Xzavier Ray Thompson; mother Rebecca Dunlap; father David Walls; brothers Cortaes (Opel) Gales and Ronnell Dunlap; sister Iyonna Williams; grandmother June Garrett; mother-in-law Sheila Hill; father-in-law Felton Thompson; brother-in-law Felton Thompson II; sisters-in-law, Charmaine Crawley, Sherita Summerall, and Arletha Thompson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life 11 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2011 at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 3161 E. 5th Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service.
