Lawrence Larry Lewis, passed away December 5, 2010 at Arbors East Nursing Home, Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 2, 1954 to the late James Lennings and Flora J. Lewis, II. Larry served in the United States Army, graduated from ETI Electronics in Cleveland, Ohio, and was last employed by Pepsi as a maintenance mechanic until his illness. He was a “Jack of All Trades” who loved computers and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He had an extraordinary work ethic and was a devoted family man with a quick sense of humor. He will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his stepfather James Smedley, son Lawrence M. Lewis, Jr., daughter Tameka L. Lewis, his grandparents, several aunts, and uncles Benjamin Lewis and Clarence Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Constance Connie Rucker Lewis; sons Antonio and Darnell; daughter Tanisha; newborn granddaughter Taydriana Lewis, all of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Terrance (Velma) Lewis, James Lewis and half-brother Michael Lennings; sisters Diana Lewis Priest and Sharon Lewis; aunts, Deloris Lody Richardson, Ollie Gendrew, and Gladys Sipes; uncle James Lewis, all of Cleveland, Ohio; special friends, Demitrius Caldwell who was “like a son”, of Columbus, Ohio, and Dennis Wright, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 2 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2010 in the chapel of Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service, 720 East Long Street, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service.
