Leander Dexter Johnson, Sr.

Leander Dexter Johnson, Sr. was born August 26, 1954 in Roanoke Rapids, NC. He resided in Columbus, Oh for over 60 years and graduated from East High School and Ohio State Cosmetology. Leander was a fun-loving person. He loved living life to the fullest. To know him, you couldn't help but to love him. He loved fishing, golf and playing pool. Leander's passion was doing hair. He was the best in the business and was known as “The Hair Doctor”. On January 23, 2020, Leander passed away. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mertis Calhoun; grandparents, William and Virgie Johnson; and step-father, Leroy Calhoun. Left to cherish his memory, are his sons, Leander, Jr., Jason, and Keiran Johnson; sister Anita Harris; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
