Ledrew Winslow Farrow, Sr. April 1, 1933 - November 2, 2021 Words of Wisdom - " You can judge a person's character by how they behave in desperate times" LWF Ledrew W Farrow Sr. of Westerville, age 88, passed away peacefully in hospice on November 2nd, 2021, after a months long fight against Multiple Myeloma. He was the epitome of a Patriarch - a man of great age, wisdom, and dignity who selflessly guided and provided for his family. He was the devoted husband of the late Lucy Mae Farrow, taking loving care of her in sickness and the most incredible Father to Andre Kenny (Kelly) Farrow, Lavonya (Randy) Sandlin and the late Ledrew W Farrow Jr. He was the protective, caring, and loving grandfather of Cyreia Sandlin, Cyrus Sandlin, Parker Farrow, Ramsey Farrow, and Isadora Farrow. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Annie Farrow of Pantego, NC and dear brother to the late Morgan, Ernest, Earl, James, Charles, Sondra, Blanche, Ruth and survived by Carver (Frieda) Farrow Sr., Geraldine (Charles) Farrow, Luther (Ruth) Mann and Velma Roland. He was the uncle who provided support and guidance to so many nieces and nephews. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences. He was a dedicated servant leader to our country, with an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Air Force, most notably being stationed in Spain and Alaska. He worked his career in the Federal Government, moving on from the Atomic Energy Commission due to ethical concerns regarding nuclear warfare and ultimately retired as a Regional Area Director from the U.S. Department of Labor, where he dedicated himself to protect equality amongst women and minorities in the workforce. He consistently emphasized the value of an education and strong character. He was also a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church encouraging the gift of scholarship to advance educational pursuits for young men and women.
