Lee Ann Jenkins

May 25, 2017 — August 16, 2013

Lee Ann Jenkins was born in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Maggie and Rev. N. W. Wooten. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized. Lee Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Rev. N. W. Wooten; husband, Andrew Jenkins; sisters, Mittie Hearns, Willia “Mae” Trudell; brother, John Wooten, Sr.; grandson, Antonio Cardwell. After moving to Columbus, Ohio she joined the Gay Street Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late J. P. Fincher. She was a former member of the Gospel Choir and member of the “Wooten Gospel Singers.” Lee Ann was a devoted wife; a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a family oriented person who came from a closely knitted family who truly loved their “togetherness.” She had a kind and gentle spirit and never met a stranger. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Jacqueline (Tony Coleman) Cardwell, Marlene (Tom Curry) Davenport, Carol (Wendell Brown) Jenkins all of Columbus, Ohio; two granddaughters, Joan Jacobs, Jessica Davenport; three great grandchildren, Jakiah Jacobs, Hervon Jacobs and Jeremiah Jacobs and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
