Mrs. Lee was member of the former Consolidated Baptist Church, now known as The New Generation Baptist Church, where she was an Elder and served on the Usher Board. This quote was stated by her employer after receiving the September 1976 Employee of the Month Award at Upham Hall, So much can be said about Mrs. Lee's good qualities that you might think that no one can be that good. Many people who came into contact with her know for a fact, though, that she was indeed good. In this same award, she was quoted as saying I like working with the psychiatric patients in Upham. I have worked with so many of them who have come in with no hope. I feel like I can contribute to their mental health and see them go back, happy, into society. Mrs. Lee Ann Lee will be remembered by all for her genuine and friendly self, her love of family and friends, her giving spirit, and an inspirational human being.
