Leroy Edward Jackson Jr. was born on April 8, 1957 to Lillian Ruth Martin and Leroy Edward Jackson Sr. in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from East High School in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a member of the band and he retired from Columbus Public Schools, where he worked as a maintenance engineer. Leroy was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Leroy was known by his nieces and nephews as “Uncle Ugoy.” He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Edward Jackson Sr.; mother, Lillian Ruth Martin; and sister, Mary Ann Green. He leaves to cherish his memory son, Kor’Dale Marcellous Jackson; granddaughter, Kayla Jackson; six sisters, Gwendolyn Lang of Gardenia, California, Eddie Ruth Booker (James) of Columbus, Ohio, Sonya Craig (Larry) of Cleveland, Ohio, Karen Jackson Winfrey (Eugene) of Columbus, Ohio, Mildred Jackson (Mike) of Columbus, Ohio and Lydia Jackson of Columbus, Ohio; very special friend, Latoria Baker; step children, Kevin Baker Jr., Kivaunha Baker and Sarah Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. He will be missed by all his loved ones, family and friends.
