Lillie Ester 'Robbie' Williams-Burrell

Lillie Esther Williams-Burrell, “Robbie”, age 70, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 27, 2010 at her residence in Pickerington, Ohio. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina, where at an early age, she accepted Christ at the Spirit Sealed Baptist Church. The family moved to New York City where she attended St. Anslems Church. A graduate of Bronx Community College and St. Joseph’s College, she held degrees in Nursing and Nursing Administration and was a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. During her 40-year career in the medical profession, Lillie worked 38 years at Harlem Hospital. Lillie married the love of her life, Reggie, in August 1978. They enjoyed traveling with one another and spending time with their children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed her time with her childhood friend Zilla Scott and her adopted brother and sister David and Bernice Williams, as well as her cousin Annie Cousin T Simms. In 2006, Lillie and Reggie relocated to the Central Ohio area where she attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with her family until her health began to fail. Lillie loved to tell others about her men, Reggie, Lamont, and Keith and her love for them. Lillie saw the best in every one and never allowed you to think you could not achieve your dreams. Predeceased by her parents, Calvin and Grace Robinson, Lillie leaves to celebrate her life, husband Reginald R. Burrell, Sr.; sons Lamont C. Bannerman and Keith S. (Tamara) Williams; stepchildren Reginald R. (Darla) Burrell, Jr. and Victoria Burrell; sister Chloette Robinson; grandchildren, Dashawn, Nyaisha, Travis, Dorrell, Tyrone, Lamel, Samantha, Terrance, Tyson, Samara, and Demetrius; 2 great grandchildren, nephew Malik Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends. Celebration of Life 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1775 W. Broad Street, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service.
