Linda Joanne Powell

Linda Joanne Powell went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2018. She was born November 6, 1954 to Charles and Ruthella Holland in Delaware, Ohio. A graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes High School, Linda earned an Associate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from The Ohio State University. She went on to teach Spanish for Columbus City Schools. She loved traveling and seeing the world. She was very well educated. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren especially taking care of her great grandson. Linda was predeceased by her father, Charles. She is survived by her husband Bishop Ray N. Powell, Jr.; children, Briana Powell Spencer, Ashanti Powell, and Ray Powell, III (Lita); mother Ruthella Holland; sisters, Cathy Holland and Paige (Derek) Hawthorne; brothers, Charles (Gail) Holland and Trevor (Michelle) Holland; eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, and a host of other relatives and friends who will all miss her dearly.
