Lisa Kay Wheeler

Lisa K. Wheeler, age 50, born June 7, 1963, in Columbus, departed this life on Monday, February 10, 2014. She graduated from East High School and attended Kent State University. A multi-talented person, Lisa was an excellent cook, artist, seamstress, and she had many other gifts. Lisa was an inspiration to everyone with whom she came in contact. Her smile and warm heart touched many. She was on dialysis for 31 years and even though at times she didn’t feel well, she very rarely complained. For many years, Lisa was a faithful member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where she attended Sunday school and was a member of the choir until her illness prevented her from attending. Preceded in death by her father Jack Wheeler, grandmothers, Marzetta McGee and Dorothy Payne, and grandfather Grandison McGee, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory, mother Starlene Flemming; sister Karen Wheeler; brother Gregory (Kimberly) Wheeler; nephews, London and Samson Wheeler; great nephew, London Wheeler, Jr.; and many other relatives and friends.
