Lisa R. Hughes

Lisa Renae Hughes, the first daughter of Nina Mae and Bobby Hughes, was born on October 6th, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio. Lisa lived her life in Columbus and was a graduate of South High School, class of 1987. Her loyalty to Columbus was life long, as she greatly enjoyed watching the Buckeyes play, along with her other favorite team, the Steelers. In addition to watching sports teams, Lisa enjoyed interior decorating, journaling, playing cards, and many genres of music. Lisa had a huge and generous heart, which was evident in her love of family and the joy of being together. Lisa was always counted on to bring food to family events and her quiet presence was a comfort in times of both joy and sorrow. Her loving heart was also shown in her career, as Lisa worked as a Home Health Professional and enjoyed caring for individuals with special needs. Lisa goes to be with God and rejoice in Heaven with her grandparents and mother Nina Mae Hughes. She also leaves many loving family members to cherish her memory including her father Bobby Hughes, sister Jennifer (Lenny) Beckles, brother Robert Lee Hughes, her children Ashley (LaDarrell Sims), Nina, Cierra, Tiffany, and Taylor, as well as her seven grandchildren.
