Lizzie Lee was born June 6, 1946 in Uniontown, Alabama to Spencer and Hannah Robinson. She was the second oldest of seven children. She transitioned this life on October 29, 2012. At an early age she and her eldest brother moved to Columbus, Ohio and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Rev. John H. and Mary Cotton along with four other siblings. “Liz” attended the Columbus City School System and was a graduate of Franklin Junior High School and East High School. She was employed with DCSC for sixteen years and the United States Postal Services for twenty-eight years. In 2002, she met Gordon Hatcher and they were married on November 7, 2005. In August 2011, she joined Gospel Lighthouse Church and remained a member until the time of her passing. Lizzie loved her family and Gospel Lighthouse Church. Her favorite pastimes were eating, playing cards and shopping. She was very outgoing and enjoyed meeting people. She was always seeking opportunities for a better life. She will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Hannah Robinson and Rev. John H. and Mary M. Cotton. Brothers; John, Henry and Elvert Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband, Gordon Hatcher. Children; Essence, Diajah, Jordon and Deziree Hatcher. Brothers; Willie (Pearl) Robinson, Walter (Lorene Askew) Robinson, Matthew McClendon, all of Columbus. Michael (Tammy) Cotton of Atlanta, GA. Sisters; Katie (John) Dulaney, Mary Davis, Pamela Ford all of Columbus. Father and Mother In-law, Charles and Judy Hatcher. Special friend and co-worker, Johm Deardurf and a host of other relatives and friends.
