Lloyd Richardson

LLOYD DELMONT RICHARDSON SR was born to the late Lovell Richardson, Sr., and Ozell Richardson on April 1, 1930, in Logan West Virginia. He departed this life on Sunday, October 30, 2022. He accepted Christ at an early age in Whitman, West Virginia. Lloyd was a member of New Salem Baptist Church for 63 years. He graduated from Aracoma High School in Logan, West Virginia and was employed as a construction worker until his retirement.

Lloyd served in many ministries at New Salem Baptist Church with his most recent service as an Ordained Deacon for 29 years. He loved to sing and his most joy was singing in the Male Chorus. Lloyd also loved writing poems and songs.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Lovell and Ozell Richardson; daughter, Peggy Crump; son, Lloyd Richardson, Jr.; siblings, Lovell Richardson, Jr. Ivan Richardson, Sr.; sisters, Margaret Sidney, Evelyn Dotson.

He leaves to celebrate his memory, wife of thirty years, Viceta King-Richardson; two sons, Christopher Richardson, Ronald Richardson Buffalo NY; daughter, Tammie Thomas Akron, Ohio; Goddaughter, Toiya Harp Columbus, Ohio; stepsons, Kenneth (Linda) King Columbus, Ohio, Elston (Tami) King Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Wilbur (Irene) Richardson, Concord North Carolina, Armande (Clara) Richardson, Springfield, Ohio, Gerald (Cleo) Richardson, Columbus, Ohio, Bernard Richardson, Dayton, Ohio; sisters, June (Charles) Thomas, Fairborn, Ohio, Jacqueline Dixon, Dayton, Ohio. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives, church family and friends.
