Lloyd Weldon Aekins, age 80, went home to the Lord Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East Medical Center. He was born May 6, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA, and was a retired staff sergeant., United States Air Force; an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a devoted family man, retired from Anheuser Busch, and an animal lover. Predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Clara; wives, Geraldine (Gerri), and Charlotte Francis; sister, Irene Bright; brothers, George, Donald, and Sahib Salaam. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: loving and devoted daughter, Lloyda (Eric), son, John; grandchildren, John Calvin Aekins, Howard McCleary, and Jazmine Aekins; great-grand children, Zachary, Moravian, Sabien and Amari.
