Lois Ann Perry

Lois Ann Perry was born May 25, 1934, in Columbus Ohio and educated in the Columbus Public School System. She was the oldest of four children. She was a member of Bible Way Church. She worked for Buckeye Boys Ranch and Training Institute of Central Ohio (TICO) but was happiest as a housewife. Lois was an independent, strong-willed woman that liked to walk and read. She would walk several miles at the Sharon Woods Metro Park and continued to walk the halls at the Westerville facility. She would walk in every room, singing her way throughout the facility. She read her Bible daily and believed there was always something and someone to pray for because "you" were on her mind. Lois was straight forward and never held her tongue especially if she loved and cared for you. Lois is preceded in death by Mother Anna Byrd, sisters Irma Williams and Phyllis Byrd, Brother Kenneth Byrd, Son Michael L. Byrd, nieces Robin Byrd and Terry Byrd, and special cousinJohn "Russell" Cornelius. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of fifty-five years, Prentis Perry; son, Kevin (Arlethia) Baker; step-daughters, Inez (Thomas) Toney, and Josclyn Pettway; grandchildren, Darnell (Yolanda) Moss, Shawn Moss, Cyril Byrd, Anthony Byrd, Tanya Jones, Sabrina Byrd, Antonio Burrell, Kevin Mc Clannhan, Ronnie M. Craighead and TauVaughn Toney; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of other nieces, nephews, and family members; and the Cornelius, Ragland, Byrd, and Perry families.
