Sister Lois Mildred Tatum was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on June 10, 1934. She answered Lord God’s call from her residence, on Saturday, September 1, 2012. She was born to the union of Levi and Carrie Ezell. She was a devoted, faithful and loyal member of Calvary Tremont Missionary Baptist Church serving on the Mother’s Board and singing with the Senior Choir. Lois was an exceptional cook who took great pleasure in hosting friends and family over for Sunday dinners. Her home was always opened to loved ones and visitors, anytime; they were always welcomed and never left without a smile on their face. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, niece, sister, cousin, friend, and neighbor who will be greatly missed. Sister Tatum is preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Carrie Ezell; the father of her children, Andrew Tatum; four sisters; and three brothers. She leaves to cherish her legacy, her children, Margaret Thompson, Betty Tatum, Janet (Donald) Williamson, Jr., Lee (Essie) Tatum, Herbert (Josephine) Tatum, and Jason Tatum; grandchildren, Veronica Carr, Victoria Carr, Jennifer White, Angela Clark, Michael Clark, Christopher Williamson, Danielle (Brian) Haney, Terry Tatum, Takila Tatum, Janelle Tatum, and Jessica Tatum; three sisters, Elizabeth Walker, Thelma Jordan, and Mable Stroud; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and many friends.
