Loletta Eileen Collins affectionately known as "Taffy", age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Born on February 5, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Donna Perrin and Floyd Collins Sr. Taffy is survived by her sister; Arletta Pitts, brother; F. Lewis Collins Jr, her loving children and grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donna Perrin and Floyd Collins Sr. A graduate of Linden McKinley High School, Class of 1976. Taffy also received her Cosmetology certificate from Job Core in 1977. Through life's trials and tribulations Taffy was an avid lover of Christ. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Maynard Avenue Baptist Church. She was member and served as an usher at Holy Ghost Revival Center. Taffy enjoyed traveling especially to Jamaica and the Bahamas. She enjoyed shopping and searching for deals. She also had a passion for gardening and had a real green thumb. An avid sports fan, Taffy loved watching basketball. Some of her favorite athletes were Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. She also enjoyed watching Law and Order and listening to an array of genres of music from Gospel, to Frankie Beverly and Maze, to Tupac Shakur. Despite her Cosmetology certificate, Taffy most enjoyed working as a housekeeping manager, warehouse employee, and in direct care for developmentally disabled adults.
