Loretta was born May 4th 1941 in Glen Morrison, WV to Rufus N. Shellow Sr. and Edith Trent. Later in life Loretta moved with her parents to Columbus, Ohio. This is where she met her loving husband Billy Gillyard Sr. and they had 3 children, whom they shared many joyous moments with. Loretta enjoyed traveling & going on cruises with her husband. Loretta was a long-time faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a former faithful member of The Order of the Eastern Star “Love Thy Neighbor #137. She was also a former dancer of Susie’s Dance Studio as part of the Women’s Dance Team and she retired from Ohio Health after many years. Loretta loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. To know her was to also know that she was also HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan! As well as cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes. She also loved going to the Eastmoor Warriors & Eastland Viking football games. Loretta is preceded in death Grandparents Oscar Herman and Minnie Shellow, Parents: Rufus N. Shellow Sr. and Edith C. Trent, Step-Mother: Addie “Granny Sue” Smith, Son: Antonio D. Gillyard, Siblings: Shirley Dandridge, James Shellow, Edith Shellow-Thompson, Tyrone Shellow and Jacki Shellow, Uncles: James Anison Shellow, and Herman Shellow, and Aunt: Rebecca Banner and Sister-in-Law: Willie Shellow and Special Aunt: Loretta Shellow. She leaves to cherish her loving presence: Husband: Billy Gillyard Sr., Children: Billy “Poncho” Gillyard Jr. and Latasha Gillyard, Siblings: Rufus “Bobby” Shellow and Roberta Rozelle, JoAnn Coleman-Simon and Nataki(Anthony) Wright, Grandchildren; Korinne Jamison, Shadasia Gillyard, Marquise “Tony” Gillyard and MaKyla Logan, Great-Grandchildren; Prince Jones, Mason Ealy, Princess Jones, Kiingston Gillyard, Legend Gillyard, Anthony Watson Jr. and Wynter Gillyard, Best Friend; Beverly Chavis, Special Church Friends; Sister Henderson & Sister Valentine and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
