Lottie Mae (Ealey) Lundy was born August 20,1936 in Siloam, Georgia to the late Grady Ransom Ealey and Rosa Mae Nesbit Shavers. Lottie was educated in Green County Schools. She left Siloam in 1956 for a better life in Youngstown, OH. In 1962, Lottie married Reverend Fred Lee Lundy. She worked at the Youngstown Social Security Office,Youngstown State University as a receptionist, the Packaging Corporation of America for 15 years and other fun jobs after her retirement. She was a faithful member of Kimmelbrook Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Theodore Cotton and Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Ernest Ellis. She regularly attended Sunday School, sang in the choir, served on the Pastor’s Aide Committee and the Nurse’s Board. In 2014, Lottie moved to Columbus, OH with her devoted caregivers, daughter Loletia and son in law Alphonso. In Columbus, Lottie joined the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Scottie L. Aaron. She was known for her consistent generosity, having an open home, hosting family gatherings, cooking spectacular fried chicken and bbq ribs and having a serious sense of style. During her time in Youngstown, she owned and ran Tate & Tate Barbeque with her long- time companion Leon (LB) Tate. Lottie was a true entertainer, and loved to be with people. She was always active, walking with her sister, Excell, 3 miles a day, shopping hours on end with her beloved children and grandchildren, volunteering as a classroom grandma and visiting friends and family. Lottie leaves to treasure her memory 3 children: Rosie Ann (Myron) Grant of Radcliff, KY, Donald LaRoy (Portia) Rhodes of Lithonia, GA and Loletia Lundy (Alphonso) Davis of Reynoldsburg, OH, grandchildren: Lottie’a (Christopher) Earl, DeAndre Rhodes, Myesha Thornton, LaNitra (Sylvester) Randolph, Shayla (Eric) DeLeoñ, Chansaun (Sarah) Rhodes, Jalisa (Jonathan) Dawkins, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady Ransom Ealey and Rosa Mae Nesbit Shavers, 5 sisters: Dorthy Shavers, Grady Mae Parrott, Mary Elizabeth Taylor, Agnes Brown and Excell Virginia Rogers, 2 brothers: Willie Shavers and Eddie Jordan, great-grandson Brailon Johnathan Hunter and best friend Ertha Terrell. She leaves a special nephew Percy (Maryann) West and best friend Irene Baxter. A special thank you to all of her caregivers at Central Ohio Home Health Agency and Miracle Home Health Agency, especially Jeanette Burford and Joyce Tramell; Select Occupational and Physical Therapy and Speech department, which she thoroughly enjoyed since 2014; Dr. Douglas Scharre, Dr. Albert Clairmont and Dr. Guibin Li at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Hospice of Central Ohio.
