Louis Slade Fields, born February 01, 1977, to Louis Fields and Sharon Slade (Jamison) at 341 10th Street Apt 8B, with his Great Grandmother Posie Pugh and Cousin and 1st best friend Imanii Slade in attendance. Louis attended and graduated Henry Bristow Elementary School CP.S. 39) and went on to William Alexander (J.H.S. 51) where he graduated, and began attending William E. Grady H.S. where he received his H.S. Diploma. Louis was always a hard working young man as a child. His first job was delivering newspapers in our building and as a young adult Louis worked at Pathmark Supermarket as a stockboy and was promoted to front end manager. After leaving Pathmark, he started working as a Janitorial Engineer in a New York City school until he moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2000. Louis' love for music started at an early age with his Aunt Minnie who always had music playing and was always singing to him, and no matter what she was doing she always had music playing in her house. This sparked his desire to follow in the footsteps of his father, Louis Fields, who DJ'd in his early years and became a DJ. Louis started honing his craft at 16 years old, purchasing turntables, speakers, mixers, and practicing daily as well as hosting Hookey Party for his 9 Block friends: DJ TOP10 (Raymon, who was the first to Spin with his brother and best friend Louis, AKA Fat Louie), DJ Fort Knox (Vernon, who followed in the footsteps of Big Brother and mentor King 7even to become well known for his skills on the Wheels of Steel), Jimmy, Lance, Demittrius, Mikhail, Dennis, Edwin, and Ed: his Brooklyn family. In 2000, Louis moved to Columbus, Ohio where his charismatic personality on the mic, love of music, and exceptional skills on the turntables skyrocketed King 7even to phenomenal heights in Columbus' music scene. King 7even was not only a DJ, but a manager, a promoter, a hype man, and sound engineer. King 7even worked alongside the city's hottest DJs while making club night feel like a Brooklyn block party. Louis, AKA King 7even, had a strong personality, and was loud, funny, witty, straightforward, and never lacked confidence. Helping artists to build music studios and inspiring everyone to be the best. His DJing crew, The Usual Suspects Crew, included King 7even, J.Rawals, The Brooklyn Butcha, Rich Nyce, DJ 0 Sharp, DJ Osh Kosh, Krate Digga, DJ Layne Luv, DJ Dame, DJ Durl, DJ Big Tie, DJ Buka, DJ Banguz, DJ Karmen, and Spindiego, took Ohio by storm making every party and event one to remember. King 7even managed Kei Mari, a singer, and DJ'd for Diggy Dulce and Kei Mari shows. Louis, AKA King 7even, was, is, and always will be a best friend, brother, son, and father. On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 3:21 p.m., God saw fit to open his gates and called his son home after suffering a heart attack on Monday, May 9, 2016.
