Louise Ahmad was born on March 6, 1929, to the union of James and Flora (Cochran) Jones in Statesville, North Carolina. She was the oldest of eleven children and at the age of 16 she relocated to Columbus, Ohio. Louise accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Trinity Baptist Church, where she remained a member for 69 years. She served on multiple committees, boards, and as a sunday school teacher for 40 years. She received her formal education in Columbus Public Schools and later furthered her education at Simmons Bible College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. On April 16, 1951 Louise married her first husband Silas Robert Baker and seven children were born from their union. In 1973, she was joined in marriage to the late Sayyed Ahmad. Louise had such a loving heart, she was a foster Mother to many chilren for over 25 years. She worked in Healthcare for the bulk of her life caring for others until retiring in her early 80's. Louise had a love for God, gardening, the color green, and her family. Nothing meant more to Louise than her family. We will always remember her infectious smile, mounds of wisdom and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.
