Lucille Lambert was born on November 10, 1913 in Heard County, Georgia to the late Alfred Jackson and Angeline Bosh Holcombe. She was the seventh child born to this family of eleven children. Early in life she professed her hope in Christ. She married the late John S. Lambert Sr. on September 30, 1934 in Waco, Georgia and was blessed with a union of 48 years. After relocating to Columbus, Ohio and moving her membership to Trinity Baptist Church, she served as a primary Sunday school teacher for over thirty years. Sister Lambert was also a seamstress, poet, cook, and ceramics artist. She passed away peacefully from this life at the age of 102 on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. She is survived by her sons, Warren (Dorothy), John Jr., and Steven (Vernita); daughters, Marva Carson and Mary Janet White; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
