MR. LYN KATYNSKI HUTCHINS, a.k.a Nickit or Hutch in Georgia, was born in Columbus, Ohio, Sunday, September 2, 1962, and departed this life on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Lyn was the third son of Samuel and Carrie Hutchins. Lyn attended Franklin Middle School and East High School where he learned to play the flute and clarinet. He was a self-taught piano player. During his school years, he was an avid basketball player and he also delivered newspapers in the neighborhood. Lyn enjoyed playing chess and often played with his brother and nephews.
Lyn worked for Western Electric, Big Lots, Steel Drum, and Dove Cleaning Services which most likely started him to believe he needed to be his own boss. At an early age of 23, he became an entrepreneur, owning his own cleaning service. He had a few big cleaning contracts at several Worthington businesses. Lyn was a very optimistic person. He always believed he was the best person for the job, as long as it paid well. He loved his family to the fullest when he was at his best. He will be remembered for walking to his own beat. His favorite football team was the Oakland Raiders/LA. Raiders, and currently the Las Vegas Raiders. Lyn was baptized at Church of Christ of Apostolic Faith at an early age where he continued to study his Bible scriptures.
Lyn was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Carrie Hutchins; his brother, Angelo Hutchins; his grandparents, Jasper and Fannie Hutchins, Hershel Sr. and Agnes Butler; his uncles, Jesse, William I.V, Eugene, and Charles Hutchins, Willie, Johnny and Joe Butler, Leon White, William Whatley, James Hunter, William Lowe, and Willie Jay Hunt; his aunts, Ella Bell White, Louise Whatley, Grace Anderson, Bertha Willis, Mary Hunter, Annie B. Young, Queen Hutchins, and Frances Hutchins; and his brother-in-law, Christopher Prater.
