Lyndall Charlene Carroll

Lyndall Charlene Hendrickson Carroll, 80, of Centerburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014, in the company of family, in Centerburg Pointe, Centerburg, Ohio. Lyndall was born in Edinburgh, Texas to Reverend James L. and Ethel A. Hendrickson on December 3, 1933. She graduated from Sparta High School in Sparta, Ohio in 1952 and married Fay Emerson Gordon in 1955. Lynn worked for many years for Dr. James Abel, and also in the Department of Knox County Childrens’ Services. Lyndall was also a devoted volunteer for the shelter for Battered Women in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She loved movies, reading, Cherrios, coffee, and peanut M M’s . Most of all, Lyndall loved her family. She had a close relationship with her loving parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Lyndall is preceded in death by her mother, Ethel A. Hendrickson; father, James L. Hendrickson; sister, Mabel Eisile; sister, Julia Salzgabor; sister, Lillian Struab; sister Almeda Ostrander; brothers Donald Hendrickson; and James Hendrickson, and husband Fay Emerson Gordon (divorced), and son-in-law Robert Feeley. Lyndall is survived by her sister, Marilyn E. Patrick; children, Kathryn A. Feeley (Jim) , Rebecca L. McElwain, Fay E. Gordon (Mollie); grandchildren, David Feeley (Stephany), Rachel Feeley, Julie McElwain, Heather McElwain, and Adam Gordon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus OH 43215. Reception: Willow Grove Advent Christian Church 7192 Columbus Road Mt. Liberty, OH 43048 Immediately following the Memorial Service. Light Refreshments will be served.
