Madeline Gilmore-Scott, 66, of Reynoldsburg passed away on February 17, 2015. She was born April 22, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Gerald Gilmore and Eva Yancy Gilmore. Madeline was reared in Jackson, Ohio and graduated from Jackson High School. She attended Franklin University, CTI (now Columbus State Community College), and graduated from NSTS Insurance School. She was employed with the State of Ohio BMV for 13 years, an insurance agent for 35 years, former owner of Wifey’s Boutique, and most recently was employed at Absolute Hearing Solutions. Madeline is survived by her loving children, Torria Eva Nicole Gilmore, and Gerald Yancey Scott; grandsons, Mylan Gilmore-Smith, Tylan Gilmore-Smith, Solomon Scott, Dennis Gilmore-Holly, and Chaz Holly who was like a grandson; cousins, Dr. Phillip Gilmore Wright and Attorney Richard Wright III, both of San Francisco, California; special cousins, Rita Emmanuel, Kim Kyle, and Beverly Long; special friends, Beverly Hodge, Marthina Bell McLinn, Sharon Fulgham, Zewditu Abate, Mylan Smith, Adam Ibn-Tamas, Daria Ibn-Tamas of Los Angeles, California, and Becky Lett of Zanesville, Ohio; life-long schoolmate of 50 years, Lana Williams Onei; and many other relatives and friends. Madeline never met a stranger, and was always willing to help others in any way she could. Her grandsons were her pride and joy.
