Mamie McConnell, 88, born June 27, 1927 in Coy, Alabama, passed away June 21, 2015. Retired from Columbus City Schools and Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Bennie McConnell, son Winfred Powell, parents, Calvin and Cora Hudson, sisters, Cora Murphy, Willie Carter, and Bessie Hudson, brothers, C.D. Hudson and A.J. Hudson. Survived by son Adrain McConnell; daughters Gwenita McConnell and Ernestine Powell; granddaughters, Tiana Johnson and Vitima Powell; grandsons, Marcus Powell, Cedric Powell, and Julian Powell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
