Marcella Porter was born as Marcella Howard in Springfield, Ohio, to her parents William Howard and Laura Moragne on December 4, 1934. She was educated in Dayton City Schools. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served for a duration of three years (1953-1956). Marcella’s outstanding work in her career was also honorably recognized by the Ohio House of Representatives. As a young woman, Marcella Howard married and became a devoted wife and mother to seven children. She had the fear of God in her heart and truly loved people and animals. Marcella loved to spend time with her family and was known for displaying many portraits of loved ones throughout her home. She loved reading, listening to music and tending to her garden plants. She was also a great cook who enjoyed arts and crafts, interior decorating and playing video games. On Thursday, June 18, 2020, at the age of 85 years old, Marcella Porter was called home to be with the Lord while at Woodview Care and Rehabilitation Nursing Home.
