On Thursday August 25, 2011 Margaret Louis Thomas, age 84, peacefully departed this life at her residence surrounded by family and loved ones. Margaret was born on September 17, 1926 in Atlanta, Georgia to Elder William Nixon and Evangelist Lillie Mae Nixon. Retired after 35 years of devoted service as a Respiratory Therapist at The Ohio State University Hospital. Margaret’s graciousness was boundless. She gave of herself unselfishly to all causes, especially to her children and grandchildren. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband William Horace Thomas, son Gervais “Gerb” Thomas, sister’s Lucille Bomar and Rachael Saunders. Survived by her children Donna M. Obadina, Keith “Kazzy” Wilson (Anne), Karen Lane and Bridget Thomas; grandchildren Gina M. Wilson, Sibit Stewart, Tanisha Sims (James), George Lane Jr., Desmond Thomas and Kenzie Thomas; great grandchildren Justin Stewart, Hassan Coleman, Jasmine Wilson, George L. Lane III and Spencer Sims; brothers William Nixon and Robert Nixon; sisters Alma Riley, Josephine Harris and Ruthmae Haslett; “Special” daughter Debra (Finch) Parham and caregiver Belita Wilson.
