Maria Crockett

MARIA CROCKETT was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday, June 27, 1965. She was the daughter of Frances Page Crockett and Willie John Crockett. Maria received her formal education from Columbus City Schools and was a proud graduate of Linden McKinley High School, Class of 1983. At a young age, Maria accepted the Lord as her savior and was baptized at Union Grove Baptist Church. Also in her youth, Maria enjoyed being a cheerleader. As an adult, she loved gardening, sports, and most all, spending time with her grandchildren. Our beloved Maria Crockett entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 14, 2021. She was fifty-six years of age. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Willie Crockett. Celebrating Maria’s life and legacy are her son, Blake (Merisha Organ) Crockett, Sr.; three grandchildren, Eliza Murphy, Blake Crockett Jr., and Braylen Crockett; brothers, Willie Bryan (Annette) Crockett and Richard Crockett; niece, Jennifer (Paul) Smith; nephew, Willie Bryan Crockett II; a host of great nieces and great nephews, other family members, and many friends.
