Marianne Maxine Lockett

Marianne Lockett went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 26, 2015. Born Oct. 3, 1943 in Columbus, OH to Calvin and Ruth Glenn; she was adopted and raised by her uncle and aunt, Opal and Anne Glenn. She lived in Columbus the majority of her life. She graduated from South H.S. in 1961. She worked for the State of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections as a Parole Officer. Marianne also worked with primary aged children in the Miami-Dade Public School System. Marianne gave her life to the Lord early, and was a member and served at several churches in Columbus, OH and Miami, Florida, including New Covenant Believers’ Church, and most recently, New Birth Christian Ministries. Marianne is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Marilyn, and leaves to celebrate and cherish her memory, her loving caregiver and spouse, Raymond Lockett; sons, Alphonso West, Bruce (Dietra) and Brian Howell; grandchildren, Danielle, Brandon, Bruce, Brice, Brett and Brianna Howell, Richard Hollins and Samiya Diamond Ferguson; special daughters Stacey Duling, Tonya Watson and Nichole Nelson; several “Special Sisters” and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, friends and loved ones.
