Marie Tucker
July 18, 1918 — August 12, 2018
Betty Marie Tucker was born July 18, 1918 to Hollie and Gussie Nickens, in Richmond, Indiana. She worked as a live-in maid/caregiver, and retired as a housekeeper and cook from Glicks Furniture Company. Marie served for nearly eighty years in various roles at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. On August 12, 2018, at the age of 100, Marie went home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, fifteen siblings, and Virgil Tucker. She leaves to treasure her memory, two sons, Virgil "Tom" Tucker and Richard (Joan) Tucker; one grandchild, Kristin (Andre) Harper; three great grandchildren, Celeste, Montgomery and Prescott Harper; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
