Marion Edwin Willis, Jr., Sunrise May 4, 1931 - Sunset October 20, 2013. The oldest of 5 children born to Marion Sr. and Florence Dunston Willis of Columbus, Ohio, he attended Columbus Public Schools and was a graduate of East High School. Marion gave his life to Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church, where he served as an Ordained Deacon. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from DCSC in 1981, where he was a mechanic supervisor for over 30 years. Marion enjoyed photography, camping, fishing, and one of his favorite pastimes was working on cars. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Gretchen, and brother Donald. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his loving and devoted wife, Betty; sons, David (Melissa) and Marion Edwin III; daughters, Denise Harris of Columbus, OH, and Deborah Fenderson of Charlotte, NC; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, brother David Lee (Madeline) Willis; sister Pauline Willis; cousin Arnold (Verdele) Phillips; brothers-in-law, Leon Banks, Robert Banks, Edward Anderson, and James Anderson; sister-in-law Sylvia Kendrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
