Mark Alexander Murray, Sr.

February 15, 1967 — December 7, 2022

Mark was born in Martinez, CA., to the late Margaret Maxine Rogers and Marshall James Murray.

Mark was friendly, kind, and passionate, he loved and believed in God and was a blessing to each church that he was affiliated with. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time with his sons, family, and friends, he also enjoyed football Sundays watching his favorite pro football team the Oakland Raiders.

Mark loved to cook and one of his specialties was to barbeque for summertime events. He would challenge everyone over who had the "best ribs" and "secret rib sauce".

Mark enjoyed most of all, family gatherings with his love ones. He would always keep in touch with his sons, sisters, brothers, nephews, and cousins with frequent phone calls.

Mark had a spirit of compassion and was always willing and was reliable to show up and help you. He worked on many home improvement projects which required his knowledge along with his skills he learned from Heating and Air conditioning (HVAC) school where he received his certifications. He would try and fix everything and if he couldn't fix it he would find you the right help!

Mark attended Cassidy Elementary School, Medina Middle School and Northland High School.

Mark is proceeded in death by his mother Margaret Maxine Rogers, and his sister Vernella Washington, and nephew Jack Jones.

Mark is survived by his wife, Juanita; two sons, LaQuandes Lamar Bowers and Mark Alexander Murray, Jr.; sisters, Darlene Wilkerson (Freddie Sr.), Margaret Adkins (Charles), Natalia Adkins (Louis); brothers, Vernell Washington, David Washington (TyAnn);  and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
